What does it mean to thrive?

Hi there!

Welcome to Thrive, a time and space for you to focus on what YOU need to build your teaching skills, your practice, your business and your love of teaching.

Parker J Palmer says “Good teaching cannot be reduced to technique; good teaching comes from the identity and integrity of the teacher.”

We spend lots of time and money on learning new techniques, new modalities, new props, tools and toys. This is not that!

This is about finding your identity as a teacher and a human in this complicated world. This is about approaching your work, your students and yourself with integrity and compassion.

This is about being most authentically yourself, on and off the mat.

All those words ~identity, integrity, compassion, authenticity~ they're all components of resilience.

We live and teach in a complicated world just now. The world is always complicated, but wow, has it ever gotten more so recently! Being resilient is an important part of moving forward.

We're going to spend the next 6 weeks exploring what it means to be resilient, to building the skills and characteristics that support resilience so you, and your business, can thrive!
